News: Overview

This overview lists the steps to create News items in Carmen. News is typically displayed in the middle of the Course Home page, so participants will see it immediately upon logging in.

In addition to creating brief News items for your course, you can also share course materials as Content. Think of News as announcements with a shorter lifespan, and Content as materials intended for use throughout the course. See Content: Overview for information about uploading and presenting Content.
