Question Library: Create Sections, if Desired

You can choose to create Sections within the Question Library to help organize questions and information items.

Attention Within the Question Library, Sections are used only to organize questions. However, when setting up quizzes with items from the Question Library, you can create Sections (to divide a quiz into parts) or Random Sections (to pull a set of questions from the Question Library and have Carmen choose a random subset for each student, displayed in a random order). See Quizzes: Creating Sections and Random Sections for instructions.

1. Access Quizzes or Surveys and click Question Library Question Library.

2. Choose Section from the Create New drop-down menu, and then click Go.

3. Under General, type in a Section Name, any Message to yourself, and any Private Comments about the section. (Currently, none of this information will be seen outside the Question Library.)

4. You can also upload an Image to the section.

5. Under Display Options, you can choose to show section name, to insert a line break after section name, and if (or when) to display any images you've uploaded, along with a message.

6. If desired, enter any section feedback you'd like to display (you'll need to expand this section in order to see the textbox to enter section feedback).

7. Click Save to create the Section.

8. Click the title of a Section to open it, and click Import to add new questions. (See Adding Questions for instructions.)

Attention To move existing questions into a Section, go to the main Question Library page, check the boxes in front of existing questions to move, and click Move Move. See Deleting, Re-ordering, or Moving Questions for more details.
