Common Questions: Backing Up Data
Backups of the Carmen system are maintained for restoration in the case of catastrophe. However, individual course data cannot be restored. It is the instructor's responsibility, as well as a highly recommended best practice, to maintain a current copy of the Carmen grade book and other critical course and content files outside the system at all times.
1. To backup your entire course (course components and files), use the Export option under Copy Course Components.

To back up Survey and Quiz responses as CSV files, see Part D of Surveys: Set Up Surveys for information about creating reports for surveys. The process to create reports for quizzes is the similar, though some of the options differ.
