A QuickLink allows you to easily create Topics that link to other Web resources.
You can insert a QuickLink to another part of your course, to another Web site, or to files stored in other systems, such as Library resources, Media Manager files, and streaming media. See Working with Other Media Sources for information about these content options.
1. While in your course, click on Content in the Navigation Bar.
2. Within the Main Menu, as well as in the top toolbar, click
Manage Content if not already highlighted.
3. Click
New Topic to the right of the Module in which you want to place the QuickLink.
4. Choose the module (Parent Module) in which to create the new topic.
5. Type a topic Title (e.g. Introduction, Summary, Module Expectations, etc.). Note, a title is required.
6. Type a Short Title, if you would like a short alternative to the topic's title. (e.g., if the topic title is Course Expectations, the short title could be Expectations).
7. To link to a Web site or file stored on another system, enter the URL for the Web page or resource. Be sure to use the full URL, including the "http://" or "https://" portion.
To make an active e-mail link, remove http:// and enter mailto: with the e-mail address immediately after the colon.
To link to another item in your course, click
QuickLink located to the right of the URL: line. Then,
