Content: Shortcuts for Creating Modules and Topics
Create a Single Module From the Carmen Content Area:
1. Log in to Carmen and go to your Course Home page.
2. Click on Content in the Navigation Bar.
3. Click 
Manage Content if not already highlighted.
4.Click 
New Module to create a new content Module.
5. If other Modules exist, you can choose a Parent Module (i.e., main folder) to contain the new module. Otherwise, choose --None-- to create a new Module.
6. Enter a Title for your module, and if desired, other module properties.
To Create a Single Topic From Within the Carmen Content Area:
1. Log in to Carmen and go to your Course Home page.
2. Click on Content in the Navigation Bar.
3. Click Manage Content if not already highlighted.
4. Click 
New Topic to the right of the module in which you want to place the topic.
5. Choose the method of placing content into the new topic
- Create New File - Uses the built-in HTML Editor to create a new file; the file will be saved to the File Manager.
- Course File - Links a file from the File Manager to the content.
- Upload a New File - Uploads a new file from your computer into the File Manager and creates a new topic in one step.
- QuickLink - Provide a hyperlink to a Web page, file stored online (outside of Carmen), or another part of your Carmen course, such as a Quiz or Discussion board. See Adding a QuickLink for details.
6. Choose a module to contain the topic and provide a long and short title.
7. Click Save.
