You can create topics one at a time or create multiple topics under a single module.
Remember, each content item must be added as a topic topics cannot exist outside a module.
Show me how to "Manage Content."
1. Log in to Carmen and go to your Course Home page
2. Click on Content in the Navigation bar.
3. Be sure
Manage Content is highlighted in both the main menu and top toolbar.
4. Click
New Topic to the right of the module in which you want to place the topic.
You can also create topics in bulk. See Shortcuts for Creating Modules and Topics for information.
3. Choose the method of placing content into the new topic. There are several ways to create individual topics within a module, depending on the type of content and how you wish to interact with it:
See Manage Content for information on managing previously created modules and topics.
4. After the topic is created and information is placed within it, Save the topic. If you plan to create multiple similar topics, such as at the start of a quarter, choosing Save and New saves the previous topic and starts the process again after Step 3.
1. Click
Add Multiple Topics to the right of the module that will contain the group of topics.
2. Click the checkbox next to each file you'd like to become a topic within this module. If you want the topic name to differ from the file name, type the new topic name to the right of the file name.
3. Click Add to create the topics and return to the Content Manager.
4. When the topics are created, the Content Manager view will automatically update to reflect the new topics added to the module.
After creating multiple topics with Bulk Add Topic, you can edit each topic individually to add Short Titles or make other changes. See Manage Content for details.
