1. Log in to Carmen and go to a Course Home page.
2. Click on Grades in the Navigation Bar.
If you are new to Gradebook, or are creating a Gradebook for the first time within a given course, you will automatically see the Setup Wizard when you first click on Grades. The Setup Wizard takes you systematically through the steps for choosing a grading system, setting up grade calculations, choosing a grade scheme, and setting instructor and student view display options. It also shows a summary page listing all of your choices. To access the Setup Wizard at any time, click on Setup Wizard icon on the left side of the screen.
After you create at least one grade item or category, you can select which page Grades starts on by going to
Grades Settings >
Personal Display Options and choosing from the dropdown menu near the bottom of the page. Enter Grades is a good choice here for most instructors.
Use the main menu on the left side of the screen to navigate between the main work areas within Grades. Within each work area, the toolbar near the top of the screen contains links to additional settings.
