The Library link in the Carmen navigation bar gives students easy access to high-quality information resources and librarian assistance.
When clicked, the Library link opens a new browser window. The content displayed by the Library link depends on whether a subject area librarian has added specific resources. If specific resources have not been set up for a course or department, a more general list of library resources appears.
The Library link became available in all Carmen courses in Autumn 2009. If needed, instructors can manually add or remove the link by editing the navigation bar (see "Add Tool to Navigation Bar" for instructions).
We suggest that instructors post a news item on their course home pages to encourage students to use the Library link, especially in courses requiring library research. (See "News: Basic" for details.)
