The Personal Homepage allows you to share information about yourself, something that interests you, or a course topic. Your students can view your homepage from the Classlist or you can share the URL for your homepage with others.

Work Around for Displaying Images
1. Open a new session of your browser.
2. Go to the Carmen homepage and click on the Homepage link in the Welcome bar at the top of the screen.
3. Click Upload, browse to your image, and upload it to the Homepage area.
4. Hover over the link for your image, right click, and choose Copy shortcut, Save Link Location, or whatever browser option will let you save the URL for your image. (The URL will look something like "https://carmen.osu.edu/pages/personal/12345/myimage.jpg".)
5. Create a new HTML page for your Homepage.
6. Click Edit HTML Source.
7. Find where you want your image to be and type the following:
<img src="XXXXXXXX" alt="image name description" />
8. Paste the URL for your image next to the img src line. Then, from the URL, copy the text from "/pages/.....jpg" and paste them over the "XXXXXXXX" characters in the img src line. Delete the full URL.
9. Describe the image in the alt tag. You should have something that looks like <img src="/pages/personal/12345/myimage.jpg" alt="a description of my picture" />.
10. Click Update.
11. Click Save, then Close.
