Carmen User Roles

Roles determine which features and tools Carmen users can access. For instance, instructors can create course content, while students can only view it.

Carmen Affiliates

The Carmen team partners with faculty and staff in other areas at Ohio State to expand Carmen's availability and features. These Carmen affiliates receive specially-created roles within Carmen courses that allow them to perform specific functions.

Currently, Carmen affiliates fall into the following categories:

Carmen Affiliates (CA) Program - The CA program allows designated Ohio State University staff to assist their own colleges and departments with complex Carmen tasks.

OSU Libraries and Carmen - The OSU Libraries and the Carmen team collaborate to provide access to library resources within Carmen courses.
