Request a custom workshop for the instructors and TAs in your department or college. Workshops can be tailored to your group's needs and typically last from 60 to 90 minutes.

Quizzes

Feature Focus: Quizzes
90 minutes

In this hands-on workshop, participants will 1) create a quiz, 2) create some questions for the Question Library, and 3) explore Special Access and Conditional Release options, 4)learn how to make online quizzes more secure using a variety of methods, including LockDown browser and advanced Carmen settings.

Quick Start Carmen

90-105 minutes
This workshop is designed for beginners, but is also good for users who want a better understanding of the default tools: Navigation; Preferences; Classlist and Email; News; HTML Editor; Simple Content.

Who should attend?
Instructors new to Carmen who have or have not previously used a CMS, such as WebCT, Blackboard, Prometheus. This session includes time for hands-on experience.
If you registered for the 90-minute Quick Start, your best next step would be a Focus workshop, concentrating on one feature.

Advanced Content

Learn how to compress PDFs and PowerPoint files for optimal online delivery and accessibility. Work with the HTML editor to add Quicklinks to streamed media or library materials.
