What will it do?     Where do I get it?     Is it easy?

The Office of Technology Enhanced Learning (TELR) now is making Course Sorcerer available to faculty interested in bringing the World Wide Web into the classroom. A web-based tool developed at University Technology Services, Course Sorcerer is an easy way for faculty to create and deliver online assessment exercises and surveys to students.

  • Without prior experience with the web or HTML, sophisticated, reusable content can be created. Course Sorcerer provides a self-contained environment for development which quickly can be integrated into an existing course web presence.

  • Class rosters and security all are handled with minimal faculty intervention to save time and increase ease of use. Built-in grading and extensive feedback mechanisms to students are additional features.

  • Students access their own individual "gradebooks" where they can complete online assignments and track their progress in the course as the instructor, or CourseSorcerer, corrects assignments, both online and offline, and makes the results available to the students.

  • Course sections that have an official OSU call number can be populated and updated automatically with data from the Registrar's office.
