Grants

TELR sponsors the following grants for eLearning:

Innovation Grants - Distance and Open Education Innovation funds support planning and curriculum development for certificate and degree programs that enable any place, any time learning. Applications are due May 23, 2008.

Expertise Grants - Propose a project for integrating technology into your teaching or research. Selected participants collaborate with TELR experts to develop their projects and may receive funding. Grants are awarded twice a year, with application deadlines of November 15 and May 1.

Professional Development Grants - Apply for funding to extend your eLearning or information technology skills and knowledge. Past recipients have attended conferences, hosted speakers, and built learning spaces in Second Life. There is no deadline for application. Review continues throughout the year while funding is available.

Grant Support - Work with TELR on your grants and proposals. TELR staff can help you scope outreach and engagement elements and offer advice on designing instructional resources. TELR staff can also provide referrals to other campus resources for project implementation or, time permitting, provide visual design, instructional design, or instructional technology support.

Research on Research (R2): Student-Faculty ePartnerships - R2 is a pioneering effort of TELR and the Digital Union to bring together the research community and undergraduate students at the Ohio State University. The grant includes a summer stipend, use of a laptop computer, and workshops on multimedia technologies. Full-time undergraduate students, in cooperation with faculty partners, are eligible to apply. The application deadline is early April.
